A Note from Our Jr President

Howdy!

What a great 2016 AJRBA National Junior Show we had this year in Bryan, Texas! It was wonderful to be in Aggieland for such a great week. We kicked off the show with a pizza and pool party at the Aloft Hotel in College Station. The theme for this year was “Reds Take the West”. Throughout the year, officers and junior members were asked for their input on the theme, locations, contests etc. The show was bigger and better than ever and I attribute this to all the input we received, especially from the junior members! This year included a Prepared Public Speaking contest. Although everyone was a little nervous at first, everyone learned a lot and enjoyed the contest! Everyone got creative with the costume contest. We had a professional fitting demonstration. After the demonstration the juniors competed in a tough team fitting contest followed by a livestock judging contest. Everyone was encouraged to participate in a skill-a-thon, identifying different tools one might find around the ranch. Lastly, to all of you who support the junior show each year. Please accept a BIG THANK YOU from each and every junior. Without you we would not had the opportunity to enjoy such an amazing AJRBA National Junior Show. I expect to make next year even bigger and better with everyone’s support and input. Thanks again!
